Gymnastics is a fun and amazing sport. At Leadership Sports, our program introduces children to basic gymnastic exercises and apparatus and progressively developing them to become competent, confident gymnasts.
For beginners, our primary focus is to develop their body movements and tumbling moves such as cartwheels, handstands, different types of rolls and more. Through these exercises, children learn how to control and support their own body weight. Strength and flexibility training is also another main focus, as well as eye-hand and eye-foot coordination.
For students with intermediate skills level, we build on the skills and fundamentals that they have gained with a stronger attention on proper form and technique. We start to introduce a higher level skill set which they will learn to have a greater command of the beams, vaults and floor routines. Strength and flexibility exercises will be incorporated to help them develop physically.
For the advanced group, their skill set and coordination is usually well-developed. We put more focus on teamwork, specific skill development, speed & agility and explosive training. Students will learn how to compete within a team and against other teams.
We have a progressive skill level curriculum for children from 3 all the way up to 18 years old.
